Need advice on chaps
If you're in Baltimore, go here...they will hook you up...they have premade chaps but will also take your measurments and make you a custom pair that I heard are kick ***...was just there and got my wife a pair of the pre-made ones...

I guess the last pair I got was the opposite of Ohio.....6'-230 poundsand ended up with a Medium....still had to cut off nearly a foot of extra length....ya gotta try 'em on.....best place is at a rally or somewhere with a bunch of different kinds........I don't remember anybody mentioning a liner......I've ridden miles in the rain and my jeans and boot tops have been bone dry after, with an inner liner........
the liner actually keeps your legs a little cooler in the heat and warmer in the cold....they also keep the bugs from splattering bug guts all over your blue-jeans and ward off small rocks and gravel.......if you ride chaps are good......if you just go from your house down to the dealership to drink coffee then by all means, wear your designer jeans, Harley t-shirt and flip-flops......you will look really cool......and if you are mistaken for the village people then it doesn't matter if you do or don't have chaps on....because you definitely have another major problem.........
I want to buy a pair of chaps:
1.) Do you suggest a size bigger. Pants size 36" so chaps 38" ?
2.) I am seeing some pairs with zippers on back of thighs...will those zippers mar my seat...I mean the bike seat...my seat is already mared ?
3.) Where do you suggest to buy them ?
If you really want them to fit properly buy a pair of custom made chaps. When you order them you have to provide them with your measurements and that will ensure a proper fit.
