I'm thinking about getting HD Detachable Leather Saddlebags for Dyna® Models (90181-08) for my '08 Street Bob.
I have detachable sideplates and am going to relocate my turn signals to the license plate using Great Bike Gear's license plateTSDNALD-03C.
Question:
What kind of docking hardware do I need?
Copy from HDs side: "The bags are compatible with both rigid and detachable accessories when installed with the appropriate docking hardware kits."
According to this page on HDs site I need docking hardware kit 53961-06 which I already have on the bike. That can't be correct. There is no way the saddlebags can be mounted on that kit even if I remove the turn signals.
RE: Detachable Leather Saddlebags for Dyna® Models
All the mounting hardware you need is included with the bags. There are 3 docking points on each side:2 on the rail where your turn signals are and 1 behind the top shock bolt.
