You might be able to pull off the blue filter look since your bike is blue, but I think the darker filter would look better. Meaner to go with that cool skull cover!

Lights look really neat too. Nice bike.

Looks alright to me but keep a close eye on the condition of that element, Been hearing alot of guys saying the blue SE elements quickly deteriate and develop holes.

O.K., this info is derived from the dealer, info I read, and some crap I know a little about. The SE kit switched to a reusable filter that does not require oil not to long ago. These type of reusable/washable none oil needing filter is fairly new to the market. I know there has been some buzz in the diesel community because it eliminates the possibility of over oiling a K&N type filter and ending up with an oil coated turbo. It is not a typical paper filter. It is a type of paper/cloth/gauze material that flows & filters well without the need of oil. I'm not sure about longevity of the product but tests I saw on similar types of filters used for diesels turned in good numbers for flow & filtering. Back to the SE filter. Well, this is what I'm told by the dealer, the blue foam trimmed filters came out first. Unfortunately, the foam has had some quality issues that many of us have experience, so they introduced the new improved black trimmed filters. Now, I have already returned one black trimmed filter because of the same issues as the blue filters. The dealer said mine was the first they had seen with the same issue as the blue ones. So I have gone with a K&N old school oil type. As many have noted here, the oil will help to keep out rain in the event I get caught in a storm while running my filter open like TB2377 (by the way I like the filter cover; mine: Black Denim Bob with the same skull filter cover). And, as said before, the old SE kits use to come with a K&N type of filter (not sure if K&N made them but they were oiled filters) and you can still find them on eBay. I'm not sure the old style fits the 06 Dynas, but, I can't see why not? Anyway, long story short, the stock filters probably did save the MOCO some bucks but they aren't that bad. I predict one will see a lot more of this type of filter in the auto market. Easy clean, reusable, and no oil needed! The bad part is it seems the rubber gasket trim, whether blue or black, has been failing. Keep an eye on it. The K&N is tried and true. I know the product so that's why I went with it. The End

Only the filter is K&N. The backplate is the Screamin Eagle Chrome Backplate.
