Air flter kit

Hey - I am looking to take off the football and install the cheap/big sucker filter kit. I like the look of the exposed filter with just a round chrom plate on the outside. Question is.............I want a black filter and when I look at them on line they are that weird color(not good with my colors) Where can I get a black one? Or can I spray paint it? < - - - - - - - kidding not that stupid!

Most of the aftermarket filters are the oil type, red is common blue is another, black would make it hard to tell if your filter is dirty, what you're seeing is a rain cover that is black.

My open filter only says red for a bout a week. The sun seems to bleach out the color and it turns white. It won't stay white for long as the open filter gets dirty quick and will soon turn gray.
