just got the bike back together and it dosent want to start. it turns over good but wont fire up. i may not have enough gas in it as i only had a little in the can . my left turn signal blinks and my new headlight dosent light . i understand the light only has 2 wires, white and yellow i taped off the black and used the other 2 . i used liquid tape on my splices. anyone use that---good or bad. i dread having to take it all apart after i soldered it all any advice is appreciated

liquid tape is a joke first off... never use it... shrink wrap... i do LED kits all day every day trust me wires will ground out right though that crap... the black you wrapped up in your headlight IS the ground wire you only have the bright and reg line going to it that is why that will not light up... what all did you do to the bike in the mods so we can better trouble shoot the issue. i would re do it if i was you... liquid tape just SUCKS, with as tight as stuff is in the headlight it will ground out. i know it is a pain but do it right do it once... if not your bike will ground out and you will just kick yourself later... plus nothing is worse than riding worry'n about your wire jobs. I do alot of soldering so i feel your pain.

i was under the impression that the headlight was grounded to the bike and i didnt need the black since the light only has 2 wires. so the black i taped off needs to be grounded? also , when i spliced my wires i staggered the splices, liquid taped them and wrapped the whole thing with plastic tape.i hate the thought of having to pull them all out and starting over.. i will try ggounding that black wire. my left turn signal stays on so i know i got to pull the left sid out. hope that does it. thanks for the feedback
