Default 2-up riding with lowering shocks

Im thinking of getting lowered progressives on my 05 superglide, first what is the stock size, and what size should i go with?
and will it affect the 2-up ride at all, with the ole lady on the back it does bottom out sometimes with the stock shocks, and she is not a large women,The ride does seem a little soft anyway.
so any help would be great.
Thanks again all.

The lowering shocks are adustable, the 412s have about an inch of adjustment in the preload.Progressive says if you weigh 225 or more or load your bike to full capacity over 50% of the time you should buy the Heavy duty.In any case there's enough preload to accomodate a passenger. It's easy you can take your wrench which is included with your shocks and crank it up a notch or two before a ride.I don't know what your stock length is but 11 inchers will be about as low as you can go and if you get the HD I doubt you could bottom it out.

I have 11s on my bike running in the 4th (out of 5) position. I also lowered my front end and put in SE fork oil. I like the stiffer ride with on it solo and it handles great 2-up. I was afraid that 10s would have been too short and I didn't want the wife to be uncomfortable and make me get a bagger. I saving that for when I decide to get old and grow up.

+1. I don't know what your stock height is either. Mine was 12.6" and I just changed to 12" 412 heavy duties based on progressive's recommendation for using heavy duty versions for being over 200+ lbs. I feel like I could have gone as far as 11.5" but played it safe and just went with 12". Now that I see how firm they are and the fact that they have 4 preload settings, I still think I could have gone with 11.5" or maybe even 11". However, I'm planning to with a wider tire out back so I don't want to be TOO low and have any chance of that causing tire damage in the right situation.

dunno your stock shocks length but if i were u i wouldnt lower it especially if often went 2 up riding.

most dyna rear stock shocks are adjustable. So have you adjusted it to the hardest? coz you said the ride felt kinda soft.
if you wanna lower it, get the heavy duty 412 progressive's, dont matter if its a 2 up riding with full loaded saddle bags

mine is a 04 fxdx lowered with 12.5 progressive 412s. Actually i didnt wanna lower it, but the shop simply ran out of the 13 (the stock length for super glide sport). 12.5 is comfortable for me being 5'6, even more comfortable when go 2 up riding with my wife. i only hate it when theres a speed bump, always scrapping the bottom parts...so i have to really slow down. oh yeah btw, the shocks dont bottom out, i set them to 1 stop before the hardest.

I GOTTA QUESTION I PURCHASED THE 11" 412 HD'S PUT THEM ON THE BIKE SET THEM ON THE 3RD SETTING BUT THEY STILL FELT A LITTLE SOFT. I SAT ON THE BIKE AND KINDA BOUNCED UP AND DOWN ON THEM AND OF COURSE I COULD FEEL THE SHOCK WORKING BUT I WAS WONDERING IF I REALLY DID GET THE HEAVY DUTIES OR NOT? IS THERE ANYTHING ON THE SHOCKS THAT WOULD INDICATE THAT THEY ARE IN FACT HD'S
