Shock Absorber Numbers
Again I have a 2008 Dyna Super Glide Custom and want to make the rear shocks a little stiffer but when people talk about number 1-5 on the shockwhere are they located so I can adjust as required?

Do you have the "special tool" for adjusting the shock? You can get it from HD.

I didnt try it, but I guess if you have the G.I. Joe Kung Fu Grip you could grab the bottom and twist it. The tool from HD only grabs in the holes at the bottom of the shock, making it easy to turn, it doesnt do anything special. Maybe the new ones dont have the stickers on them. My 06 shocks have the numbers stuck on the shocks. But like Blade said, get the tool at stand behind the bike, turn them counter-clockwise till they stop, thats setting 1 (softest). Then turn clockwise to stiffen them. There's 5 settings.
