Got the Thunder Headers on mine too, as you can see. It's the only 2 into 1 I've had though.

D&D Fatcat with quiet baffle on my 07 Street Bob.

They sound good when you roll the throttle and
are not too loud when cruising.

What prices are you seeing for Rhinehart vs. V&H vs. Thunderheader? My stealer quoted a litle over 700 for Thunderheaders.

What little I've been able to view online--I can get the VN on ebay for around $400, the Rineharts around $600 or so...The thunderheads are a bit more

Love my V&H 2-1 propipe....not too loud unless you twist the grip a bit. Coming back from KY I was just stoppiong for gas and had a guy follow us in. He came over and asked what kind of exhaust I had. Said it sounded great coming through the mountains of KY..personally I think the baffles were blowing out and when it was under a load it got real loud

just consider what engine you are running. Mine is a little ol tc88

I have the Rinehart 2-1's and I love them. Added a PCIII and an Arlen Nexx Big Sucker air cleaner with them and the sound is just perfect for me. Increased HP and torque by about 13% after a dyno session to tune the PCIII.

But, I bought them for the looks...

Thunderheader can be found on eBay for ~$480, shipped.

The Dyna chrome model# is 1031.

Now... toss in the waaay overpriced heat shields clocking in at an additional ~150.

Now we're up at about $630, shipped.

The mechanic and the engine kit builder - H-Q USA both recommended the D and D 2:1 for my 04 FXDI application. They are somewhat louder that the SE 2:2 that were on it before. How much of the increased loudness is attributed to the actual pipes and how much for the increassed cubes, compression & cam, I don't know. The sound is lower than the SEs I had. Even though I've only put a few miles on them, I like 'em. Cycle Spot has the best prices I found for them. Great to deal with also.
