SOLD my Thunderheader 2:1 (The 'ol Donkey Dick as I like to refer to it) because it looked like hell and was of inferior quality compared to many others I ended up looking at. I had chrome problems and a bolt cracked right off after just a summer on the bike. I went with the V&H Big Radius 2:1 in the end because it netted me the same performance and looks WAY better IMHO. Plus, I have yet to see another bike with them on which makes them a bit exclusive (at least in my neck 'o the woods.)
Decisions, decisions, I'm looking into all--liked the thunderheaders--the dealer was quoting with muffler and heat shields, all the fixins, and fitted for $1900! Guess it has to spend time to get the curves right? Whew--still can't make up my mind, thanks to all--I still looking into all the suggestions...Van and Hines sounds nice too. Too many choices...will this ever stop?
Whilst we're on the subject of 2 into 1's...I have V&H slip ons which are pretty loud and I'm thinking about the V&H 2 into 1. Is the 2 into 1 quieter?
Dang it! I was afraid you'd say that! I finally have decided for Supertrapp 2:1 Supermegs--like the look and they've allow me to play around with the sound a bit. Ordered them, and now have to wait a bit before they can be installed...I'll let you know how they work out and post a pic afterwards...perhaps maybe a video of the before and after...
