I got my Thunderheader, shields included for about $570 from the company. And yes, I LOVE it. I took off V&H staggered shots for these.

bob

ps... I just found the web site I used and the price has gone up in the last year to $640.

Used to be a Street bob rider, so maybe my post will count....

I had the thunderheader on my Street Bob. I wasn't crazy about the looks when I first saw it, but when I heard it I was amazed. The deep tone sounded awesome. Now I own a Night Train and I also have a thunderheader on it. I've tried Bassani, Hooker, and Vance & Hines. You see which pipe I keep going back to.......

Thunderheader!

Thunderheader:

Not the most-polished appearance.
Untouchable performance reputation.
As loud as you want them to be.
You'll have a lot of parked car alarms chirping at you.

What if "loud as I want them to be" isn't all that loud? Love the TH look, but definitely not in the "loud as possible" camp.

Hello, Just wanted to know anyone's thoughts on what if any preferences or differences in 2 to 1 exhaust systems? I've looked and listened to the Van-hines 2 to 1 exhaust for my 2008 Dyna low rider. I like the look and understand it improves the torque. Perhaps this is a bit of sacrilege to say I don't want loud pipes.
The D&D FatCat with the quiet baffle is one of the better systems out there. If you want something that isn't to loud, check out theSuperTrapp 2 into 1.

And maybe the 'Wake up the town' mentality is not so good???? Not being critical but today too many communities are cracking down on vehicle loudness and its coming to a point of forcing all of us to possibly having to run 'OEM' exhausts or face ticketing and general harrassment from the Leo's. Personally I love the loud rumble of straight pipes but when it creates a wave of laws and such that inhibits my being able to run something other than an 'OEM' exhaust, then I begin to look at all of those wanting to 'Wake the town' as if they were treading on me and my rights. Bottomline is run some sort of exhaust that doesn't bring the law and others down on you as well as creating a maelstrom of havoc for the rest of us.
