Wide glide to Deuce
I like the way the Deuce front wheel looks closer to the frame (less rake). I would assume that is done by shortening the length of the fork. I have discovered that I am not as hot on the raked out Wide glide as I thought, but I don't want to break the bank either.
1. Is that all I would need to do?
2. Would a lowering kit be all I needed?
3. Would I have to lower the rear?
thanks
1. loosen your triples bolts and slide your fork up the trees 1 inch. (will lower the bike, but wont effect bike enough to notice)
2. if it is a06 or later wdg you could buy the fatbob triple trees and replace yours. there is 2 degrees intergraded in the wdg trees, the fatbob trees are the same width as the wdg, but without the rake. so you will minus at least 2 degree ( i would also slide the forks down also)
then when your done doing that, you can put a duces rear rim on it like i did my streetb0b and call it a day. best of both worlds

by the way i just installed wdg trees on my bob to give it a extra 2degrees of rake. if you do convert to the fatbob trees, then your rake will look similar to mine, just 1 degree more. jackyl

What kind of forks are those? They look like Deuce forks, or aftermarket...
i have thought of going the route of the whole deuce front end, but this sounds better. With the fatbob front end, could I use my old forks? Would a lowering kit on the forks fix the need to push them through the trees?
thanks! Basically, I want to make my bike exactly as you have it.
