Here is what it felt like, steering straight with the left rear going sideways. I didnt stop the bike! It was the big guy upstairs! By the way , I have been riding for over 36 years and it wasnt the 1st time I was in a skid. The only difference was I didnt do a panic stop and skid, the bike panicked and I went along for the ride. HMMM. I only posted to help others avoid what I went through and maybe save them from injury or worse. Believe me or not I dont care! From what I have read some of the posters are only now aware and others have known to check more before they ride.
My sincere thank you for the heads up!!!!!
I will check those bolts frequently.
I lost all trust in the dealership the day they let meride off with 18lbs of pressure in my front tire.
Luckily, I noticed it one block away and there was a gas station with an air pump right there.
I could have easily been killed if I made that first turn in that busy intersection.

Caution. Do not re-use sprocket mounting screws. Re-using sprocket mounting screws can result in torque loss and damage to the sprocket and/or belt assembly. (00480b). Just something to think about.
I have seen this before on a 2001 softy a buddy of mine has. I had to fix the problem for him and well as some have stated, I ALWAYS use loctite where it is needed, which is dam near anywhere.
I have seen some bolts come from Harley with a white dry substance on the end of the bolt. If I am not mistaken, this is there version of loctite. I clean them off and use loctite. Just in case some are wondering, I know that anti-seeze is typ white, this is not anti-seeze but a form of loctite it appears.
Just glad to hear most of everone with this problem is doing ok, just remember to use loctite.
Tide,Some of us had to pay for "prep" at time of sale and I also noticed they only do a quick once over. My shocks were at the 1st setting and they bottomed out at the smallest bump, the bars were not tight and the turn signal relocation on the rear had the lens half on.Is that what "prep" is? I cant believe they didnt check the tire pressure. That is one of the things on the "prep checklist". Sounds to me they rushed from the crate to the floor asap. Charlie G. , I bet when they added the pulley to my bike they didnt replace the bolts. This will be brought up when I go back to HD today. THX for the info.

Yea, I paid the fee too, but they rushed the deal because it was late in the day. I actually took delivery at 5:10PM. Ten minutes after closing. I was the last person out with the service tech.
After I told them about what they did.......they apologized. Thats it!!!
SORRY WE NEARLY KILLED YOU!!!
I am sorry to all the good Harley Technicians out there.
BUT....
I will neverlet a Harley Tech touch my bike AGAIN.
Here is the bottom line on the reason, damage and repairs. Back in 06 HD did not offer chrome pulley bolts for the FXDBI. The selling dealer put in bolts for a softail and they have a longer bolt and a collar that does not fit the 06. They put in the longer bolts and no Locktite. The damage is worse than I thought, The bottom of the engine case has a scratch, swingarm is dented, upper belt guard bent and scratched, belt is frayed, pulley is rounded out and so is the wheel hub and the tire is flat spotted. The only HD store I useis not thethe selling dealer and they are replacing EVERYTHING at no cost to me. Warranty will pick up the charges andthis dealerwill check the torque on all the bikes they sell and service. I also know that there are only a few techs that short cut the bikes they work on. So no offence intended to those that do the job correctly. HD doesnt consider pulley bolts "critical"! Im done with this nightmare and thx again............
