Is there any way to adjust the fuel gauge on a street bob?
I never look at the gauge but use the trip counter to decide when it is time to fill the tank. But the warning light comes on way to early, and thats a bit irritating.
There must be some kind of float in the gas tank. Maybe that could be adjusted in some way(?)
My mistake! I just rechecked the manual and there is a float. Geeze! My bad!
I would think just slightly bending the float arm downward should make the light stay off longer as long as the light is contolled by the float position.
Be careful. A little bend can go a long way.
and if you forget to reset the tripmeter the last time you fuel, it could mean a lot of expended energy pushing up that 6% grade.

Funny you mention pushin git uphill. I ran out of gas the other day. I was trying to get it as low as I could so I could change out the cross over line. And wouldn't you know it. I ran out half a mile from home and on an up slope. [:@]Then it started to rain. Needless to say all I did was get a gallon of gas in it and said screw it, the line can stay like it is for now.
