Ok...riding home from work today on the freeway. I keep feeling small drops of water (or some kind of liquid) hitting me in the face. Got home, checked out the front end of the bike throughly (07 WG with 5200miles on it). I can't see any indication of anything leaking whatsoever. My theories:
1. Rain- not possible--- 90 degrees, literally, not even one cloud in the sky.
2. Small fork oil leak---can't see any sign of that at all.
3. Brake Fluid resevoir leak---no indication of anything but a perfectly tight seal.
4. Some type of small leak from the gas cap? Stock gas cap.. I seeno visible signs of leak after removing the cap, plus, wouldn't I have detected some odor of gas if that were the problem?
This has happened a couple of times in the past, but by no means everytime I ride. Is it possible I'm feeling condensation from the exhausts of cars that are passing me?
This is really strange and it was driving me nuts trying to figure it out...
Maybe, I'm going insane?
Please help....I'll be taking the bike to the stealer next week for the 5k checkup and I'll mention this to the techs when I drop it off, but it's probably going to be one of those things that is impossible to re-create and explain to them.
Pretty funny...Maybe....but I doubt that there were 20 or more cars washing their windshields during the course of my ride home.It happened pretty continuously during the entire ride home...30 minutes or so.
I get it all the time. Doesn't matter what bike. I think its the condensation from the A/C of the car in front of me. Kinda makes sense, cars leave a puddle at traffic lights, too. It's worse in the summer, especially down south.
