streetbob fuelpak problem

streetbob fuelpak problem
Has anyone had this problem with a fuelpak ?
I have just fitted it, and when i turned on the ignition, i have a reading on the fuelpac off, 1 F5.
On the mod display the first box has no reading, second one has a number 1, in the value display it has an F first, then number 5.
The mod select button will go past number 1.
I think the fuelpak is knackered, i will be phoneing vance and hines in 2 hours, as i live in scotland and they aint open yet.
Any help will be appreciated before i call vance and hines.

That sounds a little fishy! I am not sure what it is doing.
I am running a fuelpak and don't remember having that issue originally setting it up. Have you tried to change the settings thru the different modes?

Have you tried reseating the connectors making sure the ign and start switches are off? \\; Any chance either was on when you installed it?

Your best bet will be to contact V&\\;H's. \\; Save a few bucks and try email to tech support. \\; In my experience they have been very responsive to email and you don't have to waste a phone call.

Just phone V&\\;H tech guy's, and was told that they have only ever seen this once before, they should be no letters at all showing on the display.
End result, is the unit is knackered, so without any questions at all, they said they will put one in the post today, along with an active intake bypass device, free of charge, which goes on to the plug that was in the back of the stock air cleaner, And was told to bin the old one, didnt even have to post it back.
So thats me a happy chappy, good old V &\\; H .
Hope the next one works fine, as i have put a hypercharger and V&\\;H black shortshots on, cant wait to feel the perfomance.

It's for the euro models that have the extra thing on the stock a/c that attaches to that plug that nobody around here seems to know what it is for.

HAPPEND TO ME!!!!! I think that I was the one other time that they were talking about. \\; I had the same reading on my screen also. \\; I talked with Adam from V&\\;H cust. serv., he said never heard of that problem. \\; They replaced the item with no questions, the new one has functioned perfectly since install. \\; GREAT COMPANY WHO STANDS BY THIER PRODUCT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I must say, Im very pleased to hear that V&\\;H customer service is so well represented and praised. Im waiting for my 1k service then Im gunna install my short shots and pak that have been paitently waiting in the garage lol, I just hope I dont have an 'F' ed up fuel pak (pardon the pun, I had to)
