MS-129 Slip-On
Can anybody answer if they in deed installed these slip-on mufflers was it necessary to install the two rivets that came with them? I figure if its bolted to the muffler bracket and has the muffler clamps what purpose would it be to drill out and install the rivets.

I didn't have rivets on mine so they must have changed them, but if you tighten the clamps enough I don't seee why you would need them. \\; Some people recommend getting new clamps when you put on new slip-ons, but I didn't and had no problems. \\; The cycle shacks are good enjoy!

I can't speak specifically of those, but I have had a couple diiferent brands of slip-ons on my 06 \\; FXDI. \\; The clamps tightened things up enough that rivets weren't necesssary.
