Default PCIII Install, first contribution

hopefully I am as smart as I think I am and nobody has thought of this! As I installed my PCIII I was struggling with the location to put it?
Anyways, after you start tearing everything apart I found this "hole" under the factory ECU that is PERFECT for the unit to sit, almost like it was made to go there. Bonus is that I can access the power and USB ports from under the seat, behind the power box:

&nbsp\\;
So I never have to remove the seat to program to upload maps or reset throttle to zero.
&nbsp\\;
Side note, has anybody had to re-zero there throttle after the install (two weeks later)????

Unless I'm confused, I'm pretty sure that's where my PCIII instructions said to put it.

Yep, that’s where they are supposed to go.

+1 &nbsp\\; but also if you mod a little and stick them under the seat then access is easier

Well That "hole" is only available if you dotn have the factory installed alram system as that is just where it goes so then there is nowwhere for the PCIII to go except jammed down in between the battery and the electrical caddy! Not very neet and risky. The other main issie with the PCIII setup is that with the active exhaust system in place the large connector is exposed to water( rain &amp\\; cleaning ) and as the cabel is not sealed water runs down along the plastic cable outer cover and filles the connectors then&nbsp\\;disaster trikes when you next try to start the bike after rain or a good wash. &nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Power commander have not thought out the mouinting location very well for the 07 and later Dyna/s as the cable supplied to ju7mp into the ECU location is too bloody short. HEnce I gave up on it and got the Screeming Eagle Race tuner am far superior solution the the EPA and Legal eagles of the ROAD police as I can just remap my stock ECU at will and have fine tuned it to produce a very nice power increase with nothing hanging out in the open to get wet.
&nbsp\\;
I gave up with my emails to&nbsp\\;the Power commander guys in USA as they obviuolsy found this problem of mounting location too hard to solve properly.

Ok, so I'm not a genius! But compaired to my buddies 07' Fatboy I thought this was a well thought out position. His Fatboy was a biatch to get to fit. No harm! And bike never gets wet, hope to NEVER get caught in the rain (yeah right!). Thanks for going easy and not flaming the hell out of me!!!
