lift bike, undo brake caliper, break the trees loose and slide down your tubes... put fork boot on, then slide them back in, you can go about 1in down (though) the trees if you are not running a front fender and not drop down to much where you scrape and crap, bolt it all back up be sure to use the loctite... both ways work

do the sliders just come loose that easily?
The sliders are the lower part of the fork. Remove the forks from the trees and slide them out of the trees and install the gaitors. Put together in reverse order. You don't have to pull the front wheel, just the brake caliper from the left slider.

Spray WD-40 on the tubes, get that thing far off the ground and slide 'em out. If you can't get it high enough pull the front wheel and do them one at a time.
dude it is crazy easy! it is 6 bolts, slide down the tubes put back on... i lifted my bike with a cherry picker and did it in the back of a machine shop while i was waiting for a buddy to get off work, it is easy!
