Raked tree cups?

Raked tree cups?
Anyone running raked tree cups? Is 3 degrees even enough to tell a difference in the rake? I know Traveler has them and his bike had a great rake, but I don't want to switch over to a Wide Glide front end or spend $500 to also do custom raked trees. Will the 3 degrees from the cups be noticeable and will they interfere with the ignition switch/lock?

RE: Raked tree cups?
I have been looking for the same thing. Seems like know one has really used raked cups (except softail guys). I am planning to purchase some cups \\;for my 07 lowrider. It will put my \\;total rake \\;at 4.5 degrees, which will put the rake close to the stock softail standard and duece. \\; I think you will be able tell the difference with just 3 degrees. I know you can tell the difference going to wide glide trees and that is only 2 degrees.  \\;Cups are a lot cheaper option then new trees. And it is safer! I read somewhere that one downside to raked cups is it spreads your trees apart about 1 inch. I don't think that is a big deal. \\; Here is a link to the cups I am looking at. I spoke to a guy at vulcan and he said this set will work except newer dyna's require a longer stem. They do have them and will ship with the set, but you must specify when ordering.

Actually you just hammer them into the neck they won't move very tight fit.
I had them on my street bob, prob lowered the front end about 2inches but I had 10" shocks on the rear and it was fine with stock forks. You do need a press to swap the neck stems though.
They did the job but I didn't really like the way it spread the distance between the top and bottom trees. As for handling it was better than stock with 10" shocks.
I ended up chopping and raking my neck which I think is better but a lot harder and more expensive

Yes, cutting the frame up is the only right way but a big operation too.
That's a lot of drop, 2 inches. I'd then replace the rear shocks too.
I wrote to Vulcan and asked them whether they have cups for a Fat Bob and how much drop I should expect. So far, no response. If I get a response, I'll let you know.
