Stopped at a friends house tonight for a couple beers, while sitting there I noticed the gasket between the motor and the tranny was very moist. Moist enough that it caught my eye, and I could wipe it dry again with a rag. This friend of mine says it's normal, but I want more opinions. Motor only has 1700 miles on it. So is it normal for this gasket to be noticeably wet with oil, or do I need to ask the stealer about warranty issues?

There is no seal between the motor and transmission
that you can see, unless you separate the two units.
mine was getting moist too ,but it was between the crankcase and front of primary cover. There is a thick white gasket there. the stealer says it was the moco's fault and that \\;there was a kink in the gasket,almost \\;600 miles later now and all is well. When i posted it another member suggested, that in 2008 we should be able to keep the liquids where they belong! If it comes back, and i suspect it will have them fix it pronto!
I'm going to keep an eye on it and make sure it's not a fluke. I had a pretty serious amount of blow-by as well. I cleaned that up, so now I'm going to make sure the two aren't linked in some way. You can bet your sweet *** they're gonna make it right if there ends up being a problem.
