Finally got a side tag mount that fits, the one from Kuryakyn that mounts to the swingarm as well as their deluxe smoked LED taillight conversion. The smoked turn signal lenses and LED bulbs are from Drag Specialties. The rears were on backorder and came in today so right now it's got the yellow halogen bulbs. I really like how this turned out and it's all too easy to install. Very smooth and goes well with the black denim bike. On a side note, I filled the three holes in the fender with plugs I found at Ace Hardware. They match the HD plugs perfectly. Too cool!
Went by the dealership today and found out that my Samson pipes should be in in another two weeks. The Stage II 1550 kit, forward controls and SERT are already in. Can't wait!
Thanks for the kind words. The plugs I found at Ace Hardware. They're some sort of nylon and have the same textured finish as the three that are already in the fender from the factory. With the exception of the big one with the bar and shield. Don't remember what they were called specifically. Paid a whopping 29cents for each. Two 3/8" and one 5/16".
The Kuryakyn tag mount is #9152 and includes clamps for both FXD's and XL's.
Your bike is sweet. I love the plate mount. I have the Kuryakyn Panacea Deluxe LED's all the way around on my Roadglide and love them too. You are right when you say installation is a breeze.
