Ghost brackets vs Easybrackets
ORIGINAL: wideglidebob
i have the easy brakets when loaded they are just ok, when empty i thought i had thrown a rod they rattled so much i called the manufacture and he said chimm them so they are crooked, give me a break, so i would say it sounds as if they all rattle i just woulden`t invest in the exp ones if you can buy them for 99 bucks they prob will rattle too, but your spending less

I can take a pic if you want, but it will have to be next week, I am out of town at the moment.
I have had the easy brackets for the last two years and when the hard bags are full they don't make much rattling noise but if they are a bit empty they rattle a fair bit.
I like em because they lock on and you can key them off in an instant, really handy for wheel changes, shock adjustment \\;etc

Hi,it maybe depends on wich bags you have.Maybe easybrackets and ghostbrackets works better with saddlebags with soft backs
Barebacks can not be locked but it maybe possible to attach a fine wire with nyloncover and a small lock to secure them a little bit.
And also use same wire to lock the helmet to the bike,just wondering.But i also like the barebacks and will most likely buy those.
My bags are these:OEM 90564-06B
And i don´t like what overhead wrote about the easy brackets :sounding like a trash truck going down the road.[:@][:@]

These are what I am using. They are great, easy and do not rattle. Only problem, they do not lock. This did not bother me at all. I would highly recomemend them.
I've got barebacks on my 05 wide glide with HD hard back bags # 79078-02. \\; They don't lock but they come on and off in seconds and never rattle. \\; I looked quite a bit and found these. \\; \\;They are great. \\;
I just got the Barebacks even though they don't lock. \\; After reading through the posts and searching on info, the Ghost and Easy brackets reportedly rattled if the bags were empty. \\; I like the cleaner look of the Barebacks too.
Just my $.02

I prefer the Easy Brackets over the Ghost brackets. I have had both, but ended up hard mounting my bags because I left them on 95% of the time anyway. If you want to find out cheap, I have a set of Easy Brackets for sale in the Classified section (Post name: Dyna Accessories)for $100. I only used them one trip and they worked fine. They do rattle a little when you leave them empty so I used a washer as a spacer on the front mounts only and that made a hugh difference.
