try a giving it a rub with very fine wet and dry sandpaper, if you have to repaint you have nothing to lose, someone else on the form did this and it worked for him.

Anywhere they sell paint supplies will have wet or waterproof sand paper. Usually black in color. If its not bad of a scratch I would hit it lightly with some 400 or even 600 grit. Make sure the area is clean. Have a cup of clean water handy. I usually cut out a small thumb size piece for small jobs. Dunk the Sand paper in the cup of water and lightly rub the scratched area in a circular motion. Very lightly. Take your time. People usually get impatient push to hard and F it up. ( i have ) The denim black should be rather simple. There is no clear coat to screw with.

I have removed several scratches from my DB Bob with 600 grit wet sand paper.
Just keep it wet and sand in a circular motion until scratch is gone. Works perfect you
cannot tell the scratch was ever there.

i did a couple fine scratches on my prim cover(drove me nuts).all i did was use a permant black marker(sharpie)and went over the scratches with it,then rubbed it in with my finger to blend it in.cant really see it unless u look very very hard.might have to touch up once in awhile but it calmed me down.if thier fine try it out.

Hey man, I like the little winged skull badge you put on your battery box. Nice and subtle.

You should be fine. You can wipe your a$$ with 600. Its very fine. just keep adding water to the work area, dry and chack it, water it and sand...ect ect until your good to go.

well ive tried to wetsand the scratches out today and the fender is screwed.i did it very very lightly and held to water hose to it the whole time and now you see where i sanded.i used 600 grit wet or dry sand paper and i dont know what i did wrong so now i guess ill have to see how much a painted denim black fender is going to cost me.the area i sanded i lighter than te rest of the fender.i cant stand when someone messes up your stuff and doesnt admit it.
