POWDER COAT question
I'm about to get some of the BOB's parts powder coated black,
The question is \\; Do I have to get the parts De-Chromed first ?
I have been told two differrent stories from two powder coaters.

no man \\; \\; \\; they sould media blast it man \\; \\; \\; \\; \\; \\ ; \\; \\; \\; \\; \\; \\;& nbsp\\; \\; get a diffrent powder coater if there telling u to take off the chrome urself

depends on the quality of the chrome \\; -if its good with no rust then you can just powder coat on top, if rusty get it blasted 1st.

Find a new powder coating shop, all they do is lightly blast the parts if chromed! \\; Don't know why they want you to do that, it only takes a couple of minutes to do the blasting &\\; all powder coating shops have to do blasting!

you do nothing, send parts... a good coater will do everything for you! hell i wish people woudl send me pre media blasted parts, save me a ton of time standing there in front of the booth... however i would still reblast them... no good coater will allow someone else to do his prep work. Find a new coater brother
