Default Wrapping Pipes. Pros & Cons???
Hi guys and gals. I am thinking of wrapping my Street Bob pipes. I have the SC2 slip ons, SC2 airfilter and 1st Download. I would wrap them down to the slip ons. I'm looking for comments on the Pro's and Cons. Will it damage pipes or engine? How will it effect performance? Thanks. Linda

i don't know for sure. i've heard moisture can build up underneath and cause damage down the road

make sure you have 2 people to wrap those things extra tight.

Obviously take the heat sheilds off......... And as stated you need two people or:

It wont be tight enough
It will look like crap

If done right though, and look real good on a Bob.

One person to hold the bike and one to pull the wrap tight? I'm not sure what you mean by 2 people. Please explain. Thanks. Linda

remove the pipes and heat shields.
Then have one person hold the pipes while the other is doing the wraping for a tight and secure fit.

well, nowadays its about an "old school look" Originally the wrapped pipes kept the pipes hotter, increaseing flow in theory.
