i have the low profile windshield tip back just a hair. no buffing and still get the wind in the face. the windshield keep the pressure of the chest and the bugs go over head.i went alot of years without but once i found out how to put them on right . i would'nt trade it.

Guess that's why they make the quick release windshield for Dyna'syou can switch back and forth so easily.

I hit the highway frequently from mass to maine and sometimes NH on my 08 FXDC . On goes the QD Touring WS. when I reach my weekend destination, Off it comes till the ride home. at Home around town and my area. its never on . But it makes tyhe 60 - 90 mile Highway jaunt a lot more enjoyable when I do it.

Yep I can see this going on for some time. Some say "Be a man and take it off", some say it looks horrible, some say it makes them feel safer, and so on. I run mine when I want to, usually highway for some time, hate feeling tired when I get done.

I don't hang on for dear life, I cruise at around 70 (no windshield) with onlyone finger on the bars and that is on the throttle, laid back relaxing.
