IMHO windshields ruin the looks of a bike, maybe functional - but me no like um. Same with Baggers, all that clumpy crap all over the place, hell get a car.

&nbsp\\; I just bought&nbsp\\;the quick detach Sport Windshield for my '08 W/G.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;I tried it out last weekend and it did help keep the windblast off the chest and the bugs off my face but the buffeting is&nbsp\\;to heavy.&nbsp\\; It actually gave me a wicked headache.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;I can't see using it in a long run, I'd be better off finding a seat with&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;back support or backrest to help with the wind and a bandana to keep the bugs off my grill.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;If I had known&nbsp\\;how bad it is, &nbsp\\;I would never have bought&nbsp\\;one.&nbsp\\; $460&nbsp\\; down the tube.

Never gonna be a definative / final answer on this debatable topic.&nbsp\\; Too many opinions.
&nbsp\\;
For me, I hated the idea of putting shield on my Bob.&nbsp\\; Fortunately I found one that looks pretty good and is fairly unobtrusive (that means you dont notice it much...).&nbsp\\; It also makes a HUGE difference in riding comfort, so if I'm on the highway for any length of time, the shield is on.

Ya know ...some of the guys that give me crap about putting a Windshield on my bike and driving 100 miles to a destination are the same Jamokes who drive their coveted " Rad machines " into a enclosed trailer, tow it up to the same location, and ride it around as cool as they can be. If you know what I mean..................................who exactly is the real rider ?????
