Replacing front forks
I have new chrome front forks. Service manual says I need a bunch of special tools to switch sliders. Anybody done one without all the special tools? Can it be done?

Real easy to do. I would get the socket \\;that is designed for the top fork nut and a long 12mm allen socket. That bottom bolt is a pain to get out if you do not have an impact wrench. I used my ratchet and a hammer. The sudden blow to the ratchet broke the bolt free.
