Whoever is in charge of QC should be fired. I have my own horror storys and read tons more about "NO LOCTITE" or "NOT TORQUED". HD better wake up quick because there are a lot of small bike builders out there that have great products at good prices........

 

I wonder how the tank lift would affect screws coming loose.

I was getting a slight weeping from under the console/leather on my '06 Wide. Told them about it when I took it in for its obligatory Inner Primary Bearing (3900-mi) replacement. They didn't say they found any loose torx screws, but did replace the plate gasket and re-crimp an overflow line fitting. Mine would leak with a full tank if it was on the jiffy, but not while riding. Glad you got yours fixed; be a shame to spoil that GWP.
