Well after reading all of the post in the 50 bucks and under, I decided I would move my turn signals down to the forks. Once I got everything off the bars, I decided I really liked that look and now I'm thinking about moving all my switches (minus a kill switch and horn) down near the electrical box. I thought I would throw this out there and see if anyone has any input. I'm going to use marine switches to keep them water tight. I want to do this while I have the tins off. The picture shows the two holes that I'm planning on using to mount a triangle cut metal piece to secure the switches in. All in all I am going for an ignition switch, a push button starter switch and a triple throw rocking switch for the turn signals.
In all honesty I don't want turn signals, I only use them at night when I'm turning off of a high speed road into a neighborhood. I would remove the turn signals all together but I ride on a military base and have to have turn signals to be legal.
So.... you think that at night when you're turning off of a high speed road into a neighborhood is the ONLY time when turn signals are needed!
What about when you're sitting at a light, planing to turn left... is a blinking turn signal NOT a good way to let the cager facing you know of your intention?
I'm sure that you would advocate the use of hand signals... but how would you hand signal a left turn if you were holding in the clutch?
Or what about when your on the highway, planing to change lanes... is a blinking turn signal NOT a good way to let the cagers know of your intention?
What about when your out on a group ride... is a blinking turn signal, in addition to your hand signal, NOT a good way to let your frinds behind you know that every one in front of you is turning?

LOL....Just picturing this combo in action.
Buy hey man, do what ever blows your skirt up. I'm interested in relocating some of the mess on my bars, too. Prob gonna leave the turn signals there though. Wouldn't mind dropping the run & start somewhere else on the bike.
