Just bought an 07 WG, with the smooth wheel option. Parking it next to my buddies bike with traditional rims I am glad mine came with the upgrade. Looks real different and as mentioned above very smooth and clean. This winter I think that I am going to change out the stock spokes for a set of twisted. Dealer says $500 for the spokes and lacing, truing balancing etc. Sounded pretty good to me. Different from everyone else and not near as expensive as mags. Besides a WG to me is kind of a 70's throwback and I personally like traditional look of the spokes, but with a little"bling" from the twisted spokes I think it will really set it off. Would love any opinions though.
Ah yes, the Dragonfly Green and Vivid Black two tonecustom color. Take a look fellows.....here's one pictured onour 06 Heritage. This paint combo was only availableduring March & April of 2006. The otherbehind it is my new Dyna Low Rider in atwo tone green ...called Dark Green Envy and Light Green Envy. That color combo was only available in April & May of 2007. Both of ours have the laced wheel's. After every ride, I put a swiffer duster onto the short wandand it lifts all that dirt and brake dust right off the rims and spokes. It also works great on the dustin places you hand cant get into because it's so soft and pliable.Just dont use it around HOT metal. Wait until it cools down.

Verniculum, What you're hearing about is the chrome profile wheel option, which is $275 on a new bike. Off top of my head, you get a smoother rim with more exposed chrome. Pretty subtle difference. Stands out fairly well in person though.
Factory laced wheel:
Chrome profile laced wheel:
The spokes in the factory wheel are stainless steel. The optional wheels have chrome spokes and and a low profile rim. 2cents.
I like the top wheel, I wouldn't want the bottom wheel on my scoot. I personally don't like it. I've looked at it already on a bike last year. I told them to take that wheel offf the scooter. But that's just me.
Its oval shaped on the rim instead of squared off.
I agree with you! I love the classic style of spokes and they have a little forgiving ride quality to them over solid billet style wheels. I even got the spokes on my 07 Ultra Classic just for the old style look. Yes they can be a pain when it comes to flats, but that is the risk I am willing to take.
