There not too tough to clean it's only if you insist on polishing them that they become a real pain.I just wash mine with soap and water and dry them with a towel and they look fine.I wish they were aluminum rather than steel though.

Ever use S100 wheel cleaner or simple green and let it soak for a few minuted, wash it off then wash em with car soap and use a long brush to clean the rims and wipe the spokes and blow them dry ?

yes I remember this advise from another thread. just have to remember next wash. [sm=sigh.gif]

sooo,I'll be the prune and say do a search. plenty of info already - I remember a specific thread just on the smooth rim laced wheel complete w/better pics and all.

my cadnium spokes are greyed out so only the rim and hub get attention - rather ride than wash! but stickin w/laced

I remembered reading about a company selling fat spoke wheels that sealed them so they could run tubeless so I did a quick google search and found this.

http://www.motorcyclecruiser.com/tec...eal/index.html

Not the same company I was thinking of, but they sound like a pretty capable place. I want to switch to Metz tires next month, I think I may have to check into the turnaround time for having my rims sealed, would be nice to be tubeless and they seem to have pretty decent deals on tires as well.

Quick update on that for anyone that cares. I just called them and turnaround time is 10 days. I am going to send them mine next month and get them done and new tires put on. I will let ya all know how it went.

Verniculum, What you're hearing about is the chrome profile wheel option, which is $275 on a new bike. Off top of my head, you get a smoother rim with more exposed chrome. Pretty subtle difference. Stands out fairly well in person though.

Factory laced wheel:

Is this chrome profile laced wheel come with the Super glide custom package?
They looks real good...

I agree with ED - I don't think I've actuallypolished a set of spokes on any of bikes over the years. No problems with corrosion, etc...
