Anyone have pics of chrome profile vs stock on a bike?
Dude, scroll up!! The pictures are posted above.
You're misunderstanding me man...I mean pics of those wheels on a bike...preferably back to back with another bike with the stockers. Sorry for the confusion
Unless your just in love with the spokes, I'd stick with the mags. On top of being easier to fix a flat and being easier to clean, they wont rust like spokes if you plan on keeping your ride a long time and like to ride more than polish. Out of the twenty some bikes I've owned with spokes and mags the spokes just dont seem to hold up as well.
That said Ive been riding long enough to remember when spokes were stock and mags were an option. So I guess I'm biased.

There is a difference between a chrome wheel with spokes and a chrome wheel with chrome spokes. The stock rim on a WG has a chrome plated rim and hub, but the spokes themselves are zinc plated, if you look real close you will notice they are not as shiny as the rim and hub. You can get a wheel with spokes that are chrome plated, but you are better off getting stainless steel spokes in my opinion. I do like the look of that chrome profile rim though, no more water collecting around the edges after you wash it.
I do not like tubed tires anymore. They are easier to temperory repair in middle of no where. But the tubeless do run cooler, temp wise, when loaded heavey. Tubless generally take less to balence also.
Todd,
I got the profile chrome wheels as standard when i got my bike in late september .
I thought the others were uptil-05 wheels , might be worth a moan no lips
I like the laced wheels. To me they are classic Harley-Davidson. The only thing I dont like is when you pick up a nail or something. I would prefer to be able to repair a flat on the road. I will end up with laced wheels on mine eventually. American wire wheel has some nice ones to.
