Stock '09 Superglide Custom.
My shoulders get a little tight on longer rides, so i'm looking for bars with more pull back. (or more height??)
I'm 5'-10" and my arms are about 90% straight on the stock bars.
Love the looks of the drag style bars like Street Slammers and such, but worried I'll actually have less pullback. Or would more height help make up for it?
sit on bike and without strain put your arms out into the position you would like...figure if you need more height or pullback (or both) and proceed accordingly...
another thing you can do is walk into stealer and try out some different dynas and see what you feel best with...
You could always add some risers like I did.
I added 3.5 inch risers and I feel great. Much better than the stock position. The cost was about 40 bucks. From ebay.
I recently fitted Chubby wild 1 504 bars for the same reason you state.( i,m 5-10" also) Made a huge difference and no more pain. They are 1 1/4" diameter so i internal wired mine.On their website they show them fitted to a Dyna Lowrider.
Good luck
I didn't like the position the stock FXDC bars put my shoulders and more importantly my wrists. I spent a lot of time trying out and measuring bar options but I knew I want drag style bars. Put the time and effort in to pick out the right ones and you'll be happy. My hands and arms are perfect now - love my bars.

Don't care much for apes.
Any ideas?
Stock lowrider bars on my FXDC with 2.5" pullback risers, very comfortable.
