Wow, amazing but pricey compared to just doing the F.I. thing. Granted it took me years to move over to the F.I. side of the fence since i started in the mids 80's with my 71 chevelle el-camino. Sure carbs are easy but a lost art to adjust. If you still remeber the basic requirements to make an engine run anyone can still play with tuning via computer with a quality module. Just go with your nose, ears and old reliable vacume gauge when tuning anything. I'll stick with my old shovel for carbs and my 08 for reliability.
When I changed the intake gaskets, they looked clean, plus have put FI cleaner through it.
The bike will start popping and coughing after about 1 minute into heating up, then usually goes away and runs like a raped ape.
The plugs are tan...before changing the intake gaskets, they were a little white, but may have been from the TB cleaner.
If I let it sit and start up again after it cools off, I'm getting the coughing again.
Seems to me to be a specific heat range that it happens at. So if the FI gurus would just tell me which electrical part controls that, I'll replace it.
I could borrow my brother's and load my custom map, but hate to tear into his bike.
I didn't hook up the O2 sensors when I removed the PCIII but the eliminators where still hooked up.
I think that I will return it to stock and see how it plays out. If it still has the problem, I'm going to hit up the stealer and see if I can get the injectors changed...still have the 8°s.
Funny thing is, this just happened when I was leaving Johnstown from Thunder in the Valley recently...untill then all was good!
Getting carpal tunnel surgery Friday so was just busting my butt to see if I could get it cleared up before then...left was done 3 weeks ago and now my right is getting done.
