A friend of mine puts his helmet on backwards for freeway use. I started doing it too. Really makes a differance. Depending on what helmet you have it looks ok too.

I have a polo style and wear it backwards, it too pulls hard on my neck. I just bought a Advanced Carbon Composites DOT extended half helmet to replace the polo. I had to send it back though, with all the slack taken out of the chin strap it still would not tighten up properly? ACC said they would shorten the straps, we'll see.

This helmet's kinda pissing me off...it's great around town..very comfy. But on the highway, even with the visor removed, I still feel pressure on my neck...the front vent is kinda done like an overbite, and it seems to catch just enough air to cause some strain. The next helmet I buy probably won't have vents...they don't really do much anyway.
I always just rip the visors off of my new helmets, its not like it really does anything of real value anyway.
+1 on that. To me visors are just a useless decoration. If you want less neck fatigue, a Shoei full face or modular has incredible aerodynamics. You can look back for passing without getting that twisted neck pull.
Just courious, are you guys ridding with or without mounted windshields
Mine only does it without the sheild. Thats one of the main reasons I got the windsheild, I like the wind on me but hated the neck pain and also the wind noise to my ears (dont like ear plugs but did use them some). The windsheild stopped both so I use it more than I thought I would.
