No Laws here in CT but I wear a full face about 99% of time. I recently purchased a half helmet and feel a little naked but it is nice to run around town in hot weather.
I used to ride a FJ1200 back in my youth and went down at around 15mph doing stupid stuff one 4th of July weekend. After looking at my scraped up face sheild and helmet I was glad that I had it on. What could have been a serious head trama ended up being something my friends could laugh with me about.
no Helmet law in TX... I do wear a 1/2 Lid in the summer with T shirt & Jeans. I wear boots all the time. i own 1 pair of shoes that I wear at the gym or occasionally on stage to play music. When its cool-COLD... FF W/ armor jacket. I have a pair of those Kevlar Dragginjeans too... I like them & may get a couple more (very comfortable). I have a full set of leathers, but don't normally wear them. I have gone to the store on the corner (Maybe a mile away) a few times without the lid... Each time the wife and my 10 yo daughter scold me... Mostly my daughter... "Dad !!! where's your helmet??? You're supposed to wear it. You said you would..."

You promise your daughter...better keep your word.
Law here in Maryland. I wear a half helmet during warmer weather and have a modular full helmet for cooler weather or faster riding. I think I'd still wear a half helmet at minimum unless it was real warm and real local and broad daylight. No long trips without a bucket for me.
I wear a full-face helmet 100% of the time. Most of it is about safety & preserving what little good looks I have, but if I'm ever tempted, my dry eyes make me reconsider. Anything over 40mph and my eyes can't take the wind; makes em feel like they've been rolling around in my pocket.
I own a half and a full face, wear the half 95% of the time. I like hearing. it also has a removable flip down face sheild I put on when its raining and a zip on ear skirt for when its cold. Its the ST Cruz from shoei. People seen me with it on at work and commented "My what a big noggin you have!". I have to admitt it is a pretty thick helmet.
I wear one from all the bad crash stories I've heard and in MO it 's the law.
