I live in California where it's the law, but even if I was lived in Hawaii, or Arizona where it's not the law, I would ride with my full face helmet. Arai Profile, or Shoei RF2000.
I don't wear one in SC at all but there have been a few storms lately when I was getting pummeled in the face by quarter sized raindrops that I wish I had a full face. Since we're surrounded by states that do have laws, I wear a lid when riding in those states.
I wear a full face because of all the debris that flies up on country roads. I've had wood shavings/bark from truckers heading to the mill, really big SC bugs and rocks pop me in my helmet before. If not for the lid I'd have some missing teeth or worse. It gets hot on summer days at a stand still but I cant have it all.
Full face 99.9% of the time. If I'm alone I might go to a local restraunt w/o one. I wear boots and gloves some times, short sleeve shirt most of the times and long jeans always because the pipes burn my legs if I wear shorts. I've tried on the armor jackets and I just don't know if I can get used to them. I used to ride for a local delivery service in Cincinnati in the 80's and the helmet was required by my employer. I'm used to it so there's no reason to stop using it now. I know it doesn't look cool and it's hot but I have 3 grandboys that enjoy playing with me when I get home from work. I can't take that from them!

I feel naked without my non-legal German style helm, but of curse I live in Michigan and I have to have a bucket when I ride, I also own a nice HJC half helm(weighs too much) and a full face that has 3 years of dust on it, I have been thinking about the new harley extra light helm, but god, they want $150 for it, I only paid $40 for the HJC half helm, harley logos are expensive!
Full face, all the time, with goofy off-road style jacket leftover from supermoto bike, looking like a total geek and I don't care. At 35 mph or less I'll open the visor. Would love to lose the helmet but don't like the idea of head hitting pavement even at 5 mph. It's worth it.. to me. Will live longer to ride more.
