On my way home from work in my truck at a light and there is a Street glide in front of me. Looks kinda beat I thought. When the light changes the guy punches his bike hard and the front end comes off the ground about 4 feet. One of his slipons comes loose and just about falls off his bike, but I thought it saved him from going all the way over. He came back down and pulled over. Figured I'd ask him if he's alright (maybe hes havin a seizure or somethin) Turns out it was a 07 street glide that looked like was just back through hell. Let the guy borrow a hammer to slam his slipon back on and a ratchet to tighten it up. He said he always does wheelies. WTF? Don't get me wrong but why would you beat the sh*t out of such a beautiful bike and just leave it all banged and snotted up? I guess I'm pissed if those who can spend 20 grand on something and let it go to crap.
Understand your point, but people can't understand why I tore my bike down to build a bigger motor for it when it was brand new either! People just do to their bikes what makes them happy no matter what it is!
wish mine had power for wheelies. I'd never thrash on my bike like that, but i wish the power was there.
I'm pretty sure your bike has enough power to do a *****. My bro use to do them all the time with his stock 07 fxdc. Now with his 103 it's a lot easier.
I've done them on accident with my bike, but I just don't have the ***** to keep trying them. I'm afraid to drop my bike.
local guy I met tonight said his wife's 03 fxdl was fast too, could barely keep the front end down. Told him I have the same bike and have never had that problem.
I never thought of my fxdl as all that fast or torquey, but then again I came from a triumph daytona which carried the tires through 3 gears.
