Valves on Super Glide Custom
Hello all, Well I just picked up my 08 Super Glide Custom form its 1000 mile service,let me say I am loving this bike and cant wait to do some work to it over the winter,anyway when I ride it I seem to hear a slight valve noise form the motor,I have read that other people experienced this on the Dynas and have corrected it wit a after market oil pressure spring. I was just wondering what this is and if they are hard to install? Is it something I will need to take to a mechanic? I told the guy at the stealer but he just said "Oh yeah thats common on the Dynas".....Gee thanks for your help!! They dont mind helping when you are thowing hundreds at them though do they. Just looking to see if anyone has any info for me..Thanks to all in advance and be safe on dem there roads!!!...

I had the same problem, Dealer? told me it was my sidestand bumper..I replaced the op spring and problem solved. I have a couple of pics if you want them give me a pm or e-mail. Not a hard job at all. ~ Nels

Hello...I was was wondering if you can send me those pics you had for replacing the op spring? I really want to try that, just got my bike back from the stealer for its 1000 mile service and it actually seems like I can hear the valves more now than when it went in...$&%$#%$#@.....lol. What did that spring run you? are they fairly cheap? Thanks again!

Would the oil pressure spring not be in the motor? And, if it is, why is the issue limited to Dynas? Counterbalanced vs. rubber mounted doesn't seem like it should cause the issue.
