My 11 Wide Glide maked the some noise after the 1000 service. I believe it's just the difference between the break- in oil and the new oil. there is also the possibility of components in the transmission and clutch developing a little normal slack. I have paid good attention to this on my bike, seems to be a non issue, I only hear it when the engine is cold.

It doesn't sound like anything to worry about now. I would let the dealer know what you observed so it's on record. At least you're under warranty, so just be aware of any other changes.

They may have sold you Syn 3. If so it make the transmission louder. If you switch to redline oil you will be presently surprised how much better the transmission shifts.

Thank for all the info seems to be nothing to worry about only thing I found what was strange is I had supposition that the clutch cable may be lose so when I selected first i pulled the cable a bit to test the tension whilst selecting first and the transition was smoother and quiter and one else tried this

The new cables will stretch.... How much play in your clutch cable? You should have 1/16-1/8th inch play at the grip. Does it quiet down when the bikes warm?

This thread Just reminded me that I never readjusted my new clutch cable from when I switch my bars to z bars( it's been about 1500 miles ago). So this morning I did a cable adjustment seem to be working about the same.

Here the same clunk on my 11 SB seems like it's louder when the engine is cold.
