Default aonther MPG question

Used the search diddnt find what I was looking for......

I know its a HArley and I shouldnt worry about my mileage, but, I am getting less than 25 mpg on my bike, all I have done to it is the SERT, Rush slip ons and a stage one SE intake, when I called the dealer today they said they will re-dyno it, but they acted like I was crazy, because some bike get different gas mileage, am I crazy because I dont hink I should have to gas up before my old lady on her sportster? I think I should be getting more than 130 miles out of a tank

I think a good median for a stock twin cam is 45 - 50 mpg on the highway. Tuners bump up the gas in to make up for the increased air flow. A decrease in mpg is a sure thing. I think most will tell you 10 - 20 percoent decrease is expected. 50 percent decrease is excessive. A proper Dyno tune may fix it. 25 mpg is not acceptable and don't let them tell you it is.

My wife is getting 55-60 mpg on her re-jetted 06 Sportster and I always need fuel before she does.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one! I actually get anywhere from 28 to 39 (thats the highest I've ever gotten, and I only rode 90 miles, as the nearest gas station was really far..) I should be getting at least 35 minimum in city, and 40-45 highway, but I haven't gotten any of that since the bike has been tuned. I need to find a good reliable tuner..

Well my Fat Bob is close to stock (Rush pipes) and last time I checked (two days ago) I got an average of 45 MPG. That tank full was over half highway driving but I'm hovering at around 80MPH on the highway. 25 MPG is crazy ... get it checked.

I'm averaging a consistant 57 mpg from my stock Fat Bob. I mainly use highways doing 70-80 mph.
