Yep yep. My front fork sliders [on my Super Glide, I'm not the guy with the Fat Bob] were peeling/flaking badly. My dealer said "no problem, you're covered". Then they asked "If you want, we can do a chrome upgrade if you'll pay the difference in price, would that be OK?" I said "sure". The total cost to me for my chrome front end? Three dollars and forty-three cents.

My dealer ROCKS!!!!

ConnMan - I'd bet your dealer would appreciate you spreading the word about how happy you are with their customer service... but you need to give us their name! I know many people, me included, that will go WAAAAY out of the way to take our business where it's appreciated. Your dealer obviously appreciates their customers.

Black Widow HD of Port Charlotte, Fl. This a true family-owned dealership with a true family atmosphere. Their local reputation is fantastic. No-pressure [yet helpful] sales staff, First-Class Service Deparment.

Thanks for the info. It is bubbling underneath and then pealing off in flakes. When the technician showed it to me, she handed me a flake about the size of a dime. It wasn't the dealer that said it wasn't covered. The tech mailed pics to HD headquarters. HQ said it was environmental factors.
