went to pick up the Dyna at the dealer the other day and they told me it would be ready in about 15 min. (i think they do that on purpose) sooo i went out to the show room. of course a sales man zeroed in on me and i just happened to ask if they had any 08 Kings left over? he said no but they had an 04 with 3800 miles on it and do i want to sit on it and let me hold the front end so you can put both feet up and do you want to see what we can give you for the SG??? i know he could hear the wheels turning but i had to slap myself out of it because there was a very real possibility that my union bros would vote to strike today. it's a really good thing i didn't take it for a test ride. well we didn't strike and now I'm considering trading the Dyna and to make matters worse the wife wants it too and keeps asking when I'm going to do it???
I know i deserve it so flame away. and feel free to give any and all opinions why i should or shouldn't do it
I would only get a bagger if I could also keep my dyna. If I can't afford both I would wait until I could. Although the bagger's are great bikes, I have to much fun on the twisties with my Dyna. I plan on getting a Road glide as soon as my Bob is paid off. Hopefully by next year I'll have my bob and my Road Glide. But if your wife is for it, I say get it. I wish my wife was so understanding.
It's all about what will make you and the Mrs. happy. If she will be more comfortable on the back of the King, then there is nothing to think about. If you could keep the SG and pick up the RK, that would satisfy your biking needs.
I'd personally like to get a Street Glide for two up riding, but I don't want to have to sell or trade my LR in order to do it.

ridding the twisties is one of my concerns i sometimes scrape the pegs on the Dyna and I'm kinda worried about grinding the boards down to nothing on a King. wish i could afford both
road kings are in my top 5 harleys... they are great looking and have the classic harley lines. but i dont think i could only rock a bagger, i would have to have something (bobber, bar hopper, etc) to rock solo...
