Ok, the speeding and wheelies I completely understand and agree with....... BUT THE LICENSE PLATE!?!? I mean, seriously.. come on. You know how many riders here in Florida are going to be F'ed by that law? I mean, does the STOCK nightster violate this law or what???! I'm furious with this.. cause I spent money with this dreamweavers plate and tail light, and now I'm having to change it??!? GARBAGE
I'd just keep riding and see what happens. Clearly it's targeted at the sport bikers out there showing off and acting a fool. If you go about your business riding normally, within the law, the fuzz might just let it go. That and if they are educated themselves, they should be able to tell a factory mount from something otherwise.
Such as with the bikes that don't have a tail light anymore and they just have the red turn signals that act as running/brake lights. That was something new and in some states you can't do that unless it's factory.
Same with tint. There are lots of restrictive tint laws, but in the case of factory tint, such as in the rears of SUVs and whatnot, it's ok if it's dark from factory.
.......I bought a used car from a dealer with tinted windows( they swear it was leagal tint) drove it for 2 years never got pulled over then got pulled over twice in one week, I got the dealer to remove the tint( no charge) and pay for the ticket.......A long way about it but my point is eventually they will pull you over for this no matter if it is stock or not..........It's just an open invitation to be pulled over
yea but a used car with not factory tint is diff. than a new car. or a factory side mount plate. i believe they are referring to the sportbikes as well especially the ones who moun the plates inside the wheel well at an extreme angle so it is almost unreadable.
so you want to sell that plate??? just bustin *****... i got pulled over 3 times in FL for my side mount plate... it told them it was a show bike and i was just road testing it before the show... worked out well... the guy i was riding wiht on the rocket who was on a show bike tried the same and they where going to impound his bike! we had to get it with the trailer... funny... FL is cracking down man...
last year 7 mile bridge, LAWS.. HAHAHA!!!
i can understand the speeding portion. and the being able to view the license plate but left to right and centered 23 inches off the ground is rediculous
side mount plates dont violate the law....just when the plate cannot be read such as when a crotch rocket owner tucks the plate so far under the tail its impossible to read the digits......
