I got black heat wrap for my pipes... now any ideas on how far I should go with the wrap...should I stop at the rear shield or keep going and just show a chrome "tip"?
also maybe somewhere in the middle...
not to mention when you wrap them you wilhave the brade that is under the shields to work around man
braid under the shields?? not sure what you mean... will wrap front shield off to rear shield...possibly over rear shield to a certain point yet undetermined.
that was a typo... i ment brace on the 2nd half (lower half) of the pipe there is a tab welded to the pipe that the shields rest against... if you wrap over the shield you will ruin the chrome of it, the wrap will burn itself to the chrome... be sure after you wrap them if you want em to stay black you spay them with some 1200* spray paint, if not they will turn white

ah yeah i get the brace you are talkin about...
wrapping the shields will ruin them... well... crap. I kinda wanted to wrap so I could keep the chrome integrity of the shields should I choose to go back to chrome...(why I did not paint/powder them)
***, why didn't I just get a thunderheader!!??
ahhh now that i ask myself all the time... then again i bartered for my pipes... did some work in exchange for them... and i love em... just love the POWER that thunderheaders give!
check out those paul yaffe crack pipes in ceramic black, i always thought if someone could wrap some chrome pipes to look similar to those they would be sweet!
