Loose nut cover

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I ride an 06 S/B. The problem is that the chrome nut cover on the center fork nut comes loose. I have hand tightened it on several occasions. I do not want to put a wrench on it so it will not get scratch. Need suggestions how to keep it tightned. I have thought about one of those rubber band wrenches to try it. Has anyone else had this problem

2 drops of blue loctite will work just fine.
you will still be able to loosen by hand should you need in the future.

I used a little silicon and hand tightened it...2 years and it's still on there.

Don't use anything too strong...like Red Loctite!

i bought some chrome covers and there held on by allen head set screws

Rounder, I looked at the photo' s of the two bikes and I like the looks of the flush gas and cap and gauge. Are they a Harley item or aftermarket. Where did you get them. Looks to be digital. Very nice look. I have a cobalt blue 06 bob and think that they would look good on mine. Were they hard to install or just unplug the factory and plug the new one in. The gas cap pops up with a push I presume.
