09 FXD noise
So I have noticed that my new bike is making a shrill high pitched noise. It doesn't happen all the time, and I can only here it at stops and in first, Although it is probably still there in higher gears, but the wind noise drowns it out. I haven't been able to pinpoint it.
Any idea what this is , and is it something to worry about?

6 speed tranny noise?
The 6-speed tranny is a lot louder in the lower gears than 4-5 speed versions. It can sound kinda whiny as your cruising at low speed. Does the sound is rev in time with your gears?

My '08 SG had a shrill, high pitched noise in first and when slowing to a stop at around 400 miles. Took it to the dealer, and they said they didn't hear anything wrong. People at lights looked at me when stopping and starting. THEY could hear it. It was the belt. I was able to cure it with a simple adjustment.

it almost sounds electronic and its very hard to hear. It does not change if I shift through the gears at a stop. Rolling, I hear it in neutral and first. I do hear it in second every once in a while, if I listen closely, but most of the time the windnoise drowns it out. It is always constant, it never varies in pitch or loudness.
