Well, I live in the Northeast, so I have the winter to figure it out.

Any further comments also appreciated!
I saw a thread on here in the dyna section not too long ago that showed someone had made a 2 inch extension that would fit in between your top riser and the top mounts. I'll try to find it for you. Nice bike...like the color.

Hey, once again, thanks for all the comments. Different things to think about. Hubby said maybe I would just need to find a handlebar with more pullback. Not sure what's out there similar to the mini-apes on there now. One thing I commented on is that the grip part of the bars seem to go "out", and maybe if I had similar bars where the grips came more "toward" me, that would make a difference. Not sure if I am explaining it right. Any suggestions?

Different shocks is an option. Just wondering - depending on what position the existing shocks are set on, would it make much difference if they were put down a notch or two (or whatever)? I am about 130 lbs (and losing : ), and so I'm thinking maybe I don't need them set where a big, heavier guy might ?

I'll check out the various links about the highway pegs! I just figure that will be cheaper than going with forward controls.

I can't offer any advice, but I know what you're talking about. I have just the opposite problem on Wife's Sportster. My wrists get sore from my hands having to be twisted 'out' to hold the grips. My thought is that the bars are too narrow for the angle that grips are at for me.

It may be that your bars are too wide.

I would suggest
http://www.harley-davidson.com/gma/g...bmLocale=en_US

It protects your bike if you should drop it too. gives it a little muscle look.

For the seat how about the HD's reach seat. I thought that it lowered you and moved you forward about a inch

Congrats on the 'Bob. I see youve had it a couple months now. My gf has a Nightster she loves, but of course she looks at other stuff when we go in the shop. The Street Bob is the one she most gravitates to. She isnt ready to upgrade yet, cuz she really likes her Sporty, but maybe one day.

Did you find all the stuff you were looking for? What seat did you go with. Might save Susan some looking when she changes over. She also complained about the width of the seat.

Yeah, just realized this thread had a new life! The Reach seat doesn't come in a solo model for my bike. I think I'm just about ready to go ahead with a C&C solo seat that they can modify a little more for me -adding a little extra here and a little less there - to be lower, but also narrower. Chuck there has been amazing in answering all my questions, and the price is reasonable, and there seem to be a lot of people here on the forum that gave good testimonials.

I think I'll most likely end up with the Harley foot pegs. And eventually will get a longer peg. Right now I have a set of regular length pegs from my Nightster, which I had purchased the extra longer ones for, and stupidly left on when I traded the bike. Well hell, I didn't even know I was going to trade it - went in for a service appointment, came out with a new bike!!

I bought some boots that have a nice thick sole and higher heel than my old boots, so am hoping that will get my feet a little more firmly planted!

I am trying to decide about saddlebags, and/or a luggage rack. Hubby makes throwover bags, so Id just need a bracket. Just not quite sure about it yet. It's a work in process during this bleak, cold New England winter!!
