you got that right!
best thing I can tell you is detatch the brake line from the triple tree(botton allen bolt). Then with cardboard inserted in the lever remove from bars and place on ground keeping it upright. This will avoid you from needing to bleed the brakes(found out hard way).
you do not need to remove tank but I would remove tank bolts , lift tank, and move it back a few inches for easier access to your panel underneath for the wiring.
you will not need to remove grips or switches (just loosen the throttle switch to remove brake portion).

If you are going to lift the tank for access, disconnect the fuel line at the quick disconnect...just pull the sleeve down and pop the connector out.

When I did my tank lift and was pulling up on the tank, I broke the line where it goes into the throttle body.

It was just a plastic connector that wasn't flexible and I assumed I had enough room.

On a side not...how'd you get a woman with that helmet and those shorts!

good luck and hope to see pics soon. I've torn down my front end twice; once to black out the lower legs and triple trees... I tore it down recently to install my inverted front end. It's really not that hard plus given the great advice here, I'm sure you will have no problems at all
